Dear Customer:

It has not been so long since our last newsletter, because there is important travel information that we would like to share with you.

* New Regulations of Chinese Visa:

Additional document highlighted in blue:

1. Passport: Your valid passport must have at least six (6) months of remaining validity with at least one blank visa page in it.
2. Application form: One completed Visa Application Form (Q1)
3. Photo: one passport photo (color) glued or stapled on the application form.
4. Non-US passport bearers shall provide documents that entitle them to reside or work for an extended period of time in the US.
5. An applicant who was born in China is required to submit his /her Chinese passport or last foreign passport with a Chinese visa when he/she applies for a Chinese visa with a new foreign passport.
6. Tourists to China shall provide round trip air tickets and hotel reservation.
7. Applicants visiting friends and family members shall provide round trip air tickets and an invitation letter from relatives or friends.
8. The latest bank statment of your bank account (original copy).
9. Vacation approval letter or certificate of working status from your current company.

Official information could be found in the Chinese Embassy website in English or Chinese.

These recent changes has resulted delays of several visa applications. Please contact us if you have any question.

* Travel News:

According to the Notice about “Adjustment of Regular Visa Fees for U.S. Citizens” posted on Embassy of the P.R. China,

The regular visa fees for U.S. citizens will be adjusted on reciprocal basis, effective on Jan. 20, 2008.

The details are as follows:
1. Regardless of the number of entries, the regular visa fee for an individual applicant will be adjusted to $130.
2. Expedited service fees will remain unchanged.
3. Applicants whose applications are received by the Consulate General on or before Jan. 19, 2008, will be charged the current rate even if those visas may be issued on or after Jan. 20, 2008.
